Blue Coat Reporter crashes
The Blue Coat Reporter process starts, and then stops
The Reporter process will not stay loaded
The Reporter process will not stay running
A profile/database may be corrupted


This solution applies to reporter version 8.2.x and 8.3.x

How to determine if a profile is corrupted:

NOTE:  Blue Coat Reporter will detect if a database is corrupted.  However, if you are running a previous version of Blue Coat Reporter, please run the following steps to determine which profile is corrupt:

  1. Stop reporter, remove all profiles from the LogAnalaysisInfo/profiles folder except for the default_profile.cfg file.
  2. Copy back in each proflename.cfg file one at a time and start reporter.
  3. The profile that, when copied back in, stops reporter from loading is the corrupt profile.
  4. Stop Reporter now and delete the LogAnalaysisInfo/databases/Corrupt_db folder and restart reporter.  Once reporter is up you'll need to reprocess any log files for this newly re-built database.
