Solution

Overview

The help indicates that either tunnel or device can be used.

Usage: tunnel xtpping <tunnel>|{<device> <target ip-address> [<bind ip-address>]}

In actuality only the device is a valid option when running the xpping command.

Example:

PacketShaper# tunnel xtpping main 10.78.50.127 10.78.52.138

...binding to address 10.78.52.138

80 bytes from 10.78.50.127: icmp_seq=0 time=2.0 ms using XTP (Partner found)

80 bytes from 10.78.50.127: icmp_seq=1 time=1.0 ms using XTP (Partner found)

80 bytes from 10.78.50.127: icmp_seq=2 time=1.0 ms using XTP (Partner found)
