How to back up SG config and install on a new SG
This KB will show you how to back up the config from one SG unit and install in to another SG unit that is running on the same SGOS code.
The SGOS version used in the KB was 6.2.1.3

The first step is to back up the config on the SG you wish to clone
Go to Configuration > Archive > Archive Configuration > select the option ‘Configuration – post setup’ from the drop down menu > click ‘View’

Step Two
Now if the second SG unit you have is a new unit you will need to run through the quick setup process to enable the SG to have network connectivity.
Step Three
Now before you can install the backup config on to the new SG unit you have to check the config for any passwords. When you back up a config it will remove the password for things like the BCWF and FTP uploads for access logs.
So you will want to open the saved file in Word Pad and then check through the config for any line that contains a password such as below:
edit log main ;mode
ftp-client primary host 1.1.1.1 21
ftp-client primary username "test"
ftp-client primary encrypted-password "** Password suppressed **"
client-type ftp
exit

This shows a password that has been set for an access log upload over FTP you would change this so you would see
edit log main ;mode
ftp-client primary host 1.1.1.1 21
ftp-client primary username "test"
ftp-client primary password "This is my password"
client-type ftp
exit

Below is a example of what you would do with a Radius realm

!- BEGIN authentication

security radius create-realm-encrypted Radius "** Password suppressed **" 1.1.1.1 1812
security management no web-timeout
security management no cli-timeout
!- END authentication

Change to

!- BEGIN authentication

security radius create-realm Radius "This is my password"
1.1.1.1 1812
security management no web-timeout
security management no cli-timeout
!- END authentication

Once you have been through the whole of the config and put back the correct passwords save the file and  you can then upload the config to the new SG unit:
Configuration > Archive > Archive Configuration > under the option ‘Install Configuration from’ use the drop down and select ‘Local File’ > click ‘Install’ > locate the new file you have select ‘Open’ then wait for the config to install.
