Resolution

A local realm references a local user list on the ProxySG. To configure local realm authentication, you will need to:

  1. Create a local user list
  2. Creating a local realm, configure the realm properties, and tie it to a local user list
  3. Create the CPL to control local realm authentication

For help performing each of these steps, please refer to the ProxySG Configuration and Management Guide (CMG) for the version of SGOS you are running.  The CMG can be downloaded from https://bto.bluecoat.com/ .

For SGOS version 4.x, please see Chapter 9: Using Authentication Services; Section F: Local Realm Authentication and Authorization in the CMG.

For SGOS version 5.x, please see Volume 4: Securing the Blue Coat ProxySG; Chapter 10: Local Realm Authentication and Authorization in the CMG.
