Proxy is reporting "ce_no_disk_available" or "Unexpected response from CacheEngine"

Solution

Overview

This issue usually occurs when the proxy is handling a high volume of request. Blue Coat is currently testing a fix for this issue but as of today, the fix hasn't been made available.

This affects SGOS 4.2, 4.3, 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4

**  UPDATE (11/19/09) **

A fix has been made available for some versions of SGOS :

  • SGOS 4.2.10.1 contains a fix for this issue
  • SGOS 4.3.3.1 contains a fix for this issue
  • SGOS 5.2.5.13 PR contains a fix for this issue, but PR releases are only available by calling tech support
  • SGOS 5.3 has a fix being tested at the moment
  • SGOS 5.4.1.1 contains a fix for this issue
  • This issue has not been reported in SGOS 5.5
