The roles tab no longer appears or has an 'error on page' message
The roles tab (under the users tab) on the left hand side of the main Reporter screen, no longer appears or has a 'error on page' error

Cause
Resolution

Blue Coat Reporter uses two built-in web servers.  The cookies for one of the two web servers Reporter uses, has expired.  Reporter believes it should NOT serve you the information anymore. Reporter runs a web server off ports 8082 and 8987. The port 8082 web server serves information for Roles, Filters and the Dashboard. The other port is used for all other Reporter functions.

To fix this issue you will need to delete all the cookies for the IP address that reporter is running on. In Firefox, you follow these steps:

  1. Select Tools > Options > Privacy > Show cookies.
  2. Scroll down to the IP address or DNS name of the server. ( if you are running Reporter locally then its probably 127.0.0.1) and delete the cookies for this IP address.
