When a static route is expanded, SNMP traffic is not responded through the new interface/route

Solution

Overview

For example, if you expand the following static route, SNMP response might not go through the new gateway.

From:

inline static-route-table end-500830115-inline
10.10.0.0 255.255.248.0 10.10.12.33
end-500830115-inline

To:

inline static-route-table end-500830115-inline
10.10.0.0 255.255.0.0 10.10.12.33
end-500830115-inline

 

Workaround

1. Delete and recreate the SNMP UDP listener.

2. Delete the less specific route, send a UDP packet, install the less specific route back.

3. Restarting the ProxySG is a last resort to workaround the problem.

Cause
Resolution

This defect has been addressed in :

- SG 5.5.8.1 and newer SG 5.5 versions

- SG 6.2.7.1 and newer SG 6.2 versions

- SG 6.3.2.2 and newer SG 6.3 versions

 

SG 6.4 and newer SG 6.x versions are not affected by this.
