Why am I getting the error "License key validation failed" when trying to install the ProxySG license bin file?

Solution

Overview

The error is returned while installing the ProxySG base license when the proxy's system clock is incorrect.  Any ProxySG service that relies on certificates, such as licensing, SSL, and so forth, can be impacted if the system date and time is not properly set.

To resolve the issue, ensure the system time is properly set.

For information on how to manually set the time on a ProxySG, please see 000015107
