Why is the license file I retrieved for my Director 510 empty?

Overview

The Blue Coat Director running v6.1 requires a valid license file to manage the ProxySG appliances in your network.

The license file that you retrieved for your Director 510 maybe empty because of the following reasons:

1. You used the Google Chrome browser to access the Blue Coat Licensing Portal (BCLP) and generate the license file. 

   Try this: Google Chrome is not supported, use IE or Firefox to access BCLP and regenerate your license file.

2. The Director 510 is a "Cold Standby" unit.

   Try this:  For licensing your cold standby unit, please contact Blue Coat Customer Care.
