Why was my PacketShaper restarting continuously after removing the LEM?

Overview

My PacketShaper was continuously restarting after I unplugged the LEM from this PacketShaper. Should I RMA this unit?

A crash dump indicates the following message.

217 [0000008.7282] I: nicBypassSupported: bypass not supported between nic Inside and Outside (0x0)
218 [0000008.7282] I: dioBypassClose: closing bypass
219 [0000008.7282] F: Assert failed in nicgeneric.c line 2773

Cause
Resolution

Check your PacketShaper's configuration from Diag information before and after a restart. You don't need to RMA this unit if you can see following information.

Before continuous restart.

After continuous restart.

The reason for this continuous restart was "PacketShaper could not find LEM."

Do not unplug the LEM from your PacketShaper when standby mode is set to DIRECT.

Additional Information:

Booting in safe mode will fix your configuration problem, so your PacketShaper can automatically escape this continuous restart.
